Kendal

A trip to Kendal with our daughter Cathy.
Miserable weather at home but lovely sunny crisp weather in South Cumbria.
A bit of shopping in all the lovely shops then lunch in the excellent cafe in Booths.

Three good things:
1. Snow on the Lake District mountains as we drove up the M6.
2. Turkey chowder for lunch with a warm roll & lashings of butter.
3. The dress our daughter went up to try on looked just lovely- one pleased shopper!
I hope you got some mint cake while you were there...

A lovely street scene. Ditto the mint cake. My great aunt was matron at the boys' school and she always brought mint cake home

@gijsje Yes a great relief all round, it's demoralising if you can't get anything you like. Imlove velvet too, could have tried it on myself if it had three quarter sleeves.

@dide 3deg C today so quite cold, very seasonal though with all the shops & trees starting to appear.

The lunch sounds great. We went out for full English, followed by a visit to Mottisfont to see their Christmas decorations.

A lovely scene of the cobbled street and town -- it does look rather cold there but pleased you enjoyed the day and the lovely warming lunch -- it sounded delicious ! Pleased that Cathy was pleased with her purchase . .

Does look a bit chilly .. I saw that a 'cuzzy' in Manchester area had snow this morning .. so it is in the air .. Pleased Cathy had a successful shop..

Just had to google Kendal Mint Cakes .. after Mr @graemestevens comment ... yum that sounds like my sort of treat .. I know it would be safe from @dide as she hates mint..
