So many books at Chatsworth!
Thousands of them I imagine, the library was my favourite room. A smaller size & lots of easy chairs it looked manageable compared with the other grand rooms.
I am rather sick of my Chatsworth House photos now but it's so very cold out that I have not even thought about taking any photos.
I am going to Southport on a jolly tomorrow but apprehensive about the weather as it's forecast heavy snow on Sunday. My car is not good when it's slippy!
Three good things:
1. Woodburners.
2. The washing dried beautifully but my word it was agony hanging them out in the bitter wind!
3. A long Skype with Jack in Japan. Bless him he's doing so well at the school, his classroom teacher he works with said they were lucky to have him he was so diligent! That's high praise in Japan!
A library full of books but strictly forbidden to touch them...
Heavy snow forecasted here too, had to cancel a family get together on Sunday (more than 300 km by car...)
@dide@julzmaioro I bet @gijsje would agree with me at this moment that we would swop with you! It's the wind that's so cold, I have an extra sweater on & our house is warm normally! We are snug tonight with fire on & curtains closed.
If you are going to get snow in early December - it will be a long winter! I would love to have a library - with a fire and several comfy armchairs and in the corner - a drinks table!
@maggiemae yes a very long winter, they are anyway but usually no snow until after Christmas. It's the wind that's the problem today, it's such a chill factor.

Good luck on your Southport trip ..... it will be bitterly cold.
I haven't set foot outside the house today!!
I agree with you, Pat. Dreaming of a sunny beach...
