Harry & I took a ride out to Windermere this afternoon. We wanted a laundry basket from Lakeland. Lakeland is a lot like Ikea in the fact that you never come away with nothing!
Somehow besides the basket we came away with bathroom drain cleaner, a small narrow brush to clean behind shower doors, mouldy remover, & a spare pair of toast tongs.
As you can see the weather was glorious, you could almost see the grass growing!
On the way home we called at my favourite place Sizergh Barn. Had a coffee & watched a bit of milking from the gallery, got a bit of the lovely cow smell back in our system then I bought a Seasalt shirt with fishes on it!
A good day!
The photo was taken from the car park at the barn. You can see the brown free range hens & the white ones.
Three good things:
1. So lovely to live only forty minutes from the Lake District....we don't go as often as we could!
2. A video from Cathy in Tokyo showing all the young people out & about in the streets at night. Fascinating & so busy!
3. Wilfs Rarebit for lunch in Stavely.
@huvesaker the green thing in the front us a feeder I think Boo. The cabin in the distance has the brown hens & the green one on the right was for the white hens.
I adore Lakeland and you are right, you always spend money in there! How wonderful to be this close to all this beauty. We will be up there in Summer and can't wait! Lovely shot.
@thistle oh lucky you Joyce, our nearest JL is south Manchester. We were supposed to be having one years ago but the development of that area of Preston fell through.
