So glad to see the sun today, lovely warm temperatures & lunch outside at last!
Hopefully the weather will last until our eldest grandson & his girlfriend arrive for three weeks on Saturday.
Looking at this photo I'm just wondering if I caught the first swallow as it flies over...is that a forked tail I see?
Three good things:
1. I ate one of the gorgeous Gouden Wafels Cathy & Garth brought us back from Japan...yummy yummy!
2. Hedges are all green again!
3. Some of the jam jars I save have been put to good use today, a neighbour has made rhubarb jam for a good cause.
Hasn't it been lovely and you have a perfect spot there to lunch and enjoy the sun ! I think yo have caught the 1st swallow -- as a child it was great excitement to see the 1st swallow ! and then seeing them all in arrow before migrating ! Had to laugh at your store of jam-jars -- I made some "mamade" marmalade as I had jars ready to use !
I can see a plane's trail as it moves through that blue sky but the swallow I thought I could see turned out to be a spot on my computer screen! Sounds like it was a beautiful day from others as well as you in your lovely home area!
Lovely place to sit and have lunch. Our sun umbrella got absolutely shredded during our massive hail storm last weekend. a trip to Bunnings is required to buy a new one.
@happypat Australia is the hailstone capital of the world. When we have ground temperatures of 32 degrees and then a thunderstorm hits the hail comes from very high, almost 30,000 ft and the hailstones were the size of golf balls. We can get them tennis ball size too sometimes. A few of our friends have had terrible damage to their houses with broken windows. One friend's caravan has been written off and another has lost the Perspex top from his patio roof.
I hope the lovely weather stays for you.
Here in Australia,we are in Autumn, but we have hot weather which is unusual for this time of year.
we are certainly making good use of the sunshine.
A lovely outdoor shot.
