It's rained hard this afternoon & I was quite taken with next doors hens sheltering in our wood.
It's a pity you can't see the rain coming down.
The two visitors have gone to Dublin for a couple of nights.
Three good things:
1. Daffodils on the kitchen table.
2. This rain will wash the slurry covering the fields into the ground & hopefully remove the smell. We are used to country smells but a bit sick of it now!
3. The first woman statue ever in Parliament Square unveiled today. Millicent Fawcett the militant women's rights campaigner.
Lovely scene. How amusing and interesting as I had no idea hens would shelter from the rain. It's been drizzling here too. When will it stop. Photogroup outing to the bluebells tomorrow - hope it keeps fine!
Looks like they need a bit bigger tree..
Our neighbours like to use chook poo on their pastures and in concentrated form it is very powerful... they seem to wait until the wind is blowing away from tbeirvhouse before they spread it.. 😷
@julzmaioro oh dear chook poo is the pits, this is just farm muck & I dint actually mind that much, we are used to it but I hate it when the washing is out.
A lovely scene with the chicken visitors visitors sheltering under the trees -- the grass is always greener the other side of the fence Pat - even the chickens have realised this !
@maggiemae they are in our territory all the time Maggie, harry has got tomchasing them out with a stick now, don't mind them in the garden buy they poo on the path where the B&B's walk sometimes. They are very soft & never run very far. We have too many eggs here anyway at t moment, giving them away!
