William & Erin are flying back to NZ tonight. We set off for the airport in good time & they were the first to check in.
It's been lovely having them to stay for the last three weeks, they have been no trouble at all.
Funny to think I will see them again in just over a week!
Three good things:
1. Traffic queueing on the other side of the motorway but it had all gone by the time I was on my way home again.
2. Erin bought two snow globes & I was worried they would have more that 100mls of water in them & they would be regected but all OK!
3. Lydia is celebrating her birthday belatedly today, all exams finished at last!

I'm going there Cas, I fly this time next week. It's been lovely having them but they were ready for home, both of them, been traveling for six weeks.
Haven't had time to comment tonight yet so will get cracking now!
Good to get to the airport in plenty of time! No queues. Hard to believe its three weeks since they arrived! You will be counting the days! And planning what to take and what not to take!
@allie912 About 23 Alison, the longest bit is from Dubai to Auckland non stop, around 16 hours! Funnily enough our family has never travelled anywhere until the last twelve years or so, Harry & I had our first holiday only after 25 years & then only to London for three days. Our kids never went on holiday as we had cows to milk, times have changed indeed!
@beryl@maggiemae Yes it was nice seeing them off, it's a,ways good when you know it's not that long before you see family again, we have been very lucky that way! Some families do t get to see their families for years,
@gijsje Thanks Bep, I think I might take a little holiday while I'm away. I will try & post when I can but do t feel I can spend the time commenting when I'm with family, I shall be very erratic but do my best! I started so,late tonight commenting & it's been a hard job catching up after my round trip to the airport.
@sarah19 I said in the car it didn't seem that long since I was picking them up ! They were ready for home which is good. Been in the air about an hour now so Will will be relaxing a bit more, he's not a keen flyer!
not such a sad goodbye then Pat when you know you'll see them soon. I have packed and repacked my bag so many times. I dont think it will be that warm for us when we get to the UK. We think its cold if its under 25 :)
@happypat We leave here on Saturday. Fly to Perth and then catch the non stop flight to Heathrow on the new Dreamliner. Lets hope it lives up to its name.
@cruiser Apparently the Dreamliner is wonderful, our daughter & SIL went on that one to Japan last month, the best plane ever! I am on the A380 which is also good. Have a great time Chris. I'm back on the 19th June. X
@onewing I did think of it Babs & William said the same but I need a week to get the bedrooms changed round & get packed up. Have to leave the house all straight for Harry's b&bing!!! Goood job as it happens as have been very busy with next door let. I will be all ready by Tuesday! Leave NZ on the 18th June.
