Three good things:
1. A very nice pair of striped grey bamboo socks in the post yesterday. A free sample from a company called BAM who sell bamboo clothing. Now if course I feel guilty if I don’t buy anything!
2. My three year hearing review today but all she did was tell me their contract was coming to an end & if I needed anything to wait until next March. She did give me a few cards of the original batteries though as the new brand aren’t as good in my opinion.
3. I bought an oven thermometer to check my oven temperatures, I don’t think my oven is still hot enough.
Gorgeous door. I got a free pair of socks from BAM, too, Pat. Liked them so much I've bought six pairs! Looks like free socks is a good marketing move.
That looks stunning.. don't usually like fake flowers but they look good here... as long as they replace them when they fade.. lucky you with the free socks.. bamboos lovely..
@jocasta v. Ooh now I feel I definitely should buy...good to have your feedback Jocasta. I did notice they were in pacs of six. I have heard they don’t leave ring round your ankles!
@beryl I hate silk flowers Beryl & woukd never buy them but this door did look pretty, over the top of course but it was in Old Town Edinburgh so a tourist thing I expect!
It really took my eye, had to nearly stand in the middle of the road to get in focus but the flowers although silk looked really fresh & colourful. Thank you all.
@casablanca It’s an Aga so hard to alter easily, we have had work done on it & it is hotter but never know exactly how hot the thing is. I have an electric oven too but love this old girl.
@julzmaioro The bamboo seems very soft I agree, just wonder how hard wearing the socks will be, if the6 get a hole in they get thrown out....does anyone darn socks these days!
Rather smart. I bought and sent my daughter Clare some bamboo socks which I saw in the shop front of a chiropodist, supposedly very soft. She was pleased!
@happypat They do leave a very small ring but much better than most. I bought a pack of three - then got an email saying free postage if I bought anything else. Once again, clever marketing. I really like them - my first ever bamboo clothing.
