A very elaborate meal for twelfth night. I think by the time you had eaten so much over Christmas & tackled taking the decorations down, all those dropped pine needles, the last thing I would feel like doing would be cooking a large meal like this!
Three good things:
1. New pillows & coloured bedding on the bed ready for family staying.
2. Lunch at a friends house today for nine of us.
3. Lots of Christmas trees going up! Ours up tomorrow!
Such a feast. Everything looks so colourful. I think our ‘tree’ will go up nearer Christmas. I may use a tall flax flower again or something small and simple.

Normally I would wait another week but we want to be all dressed up for when family arrive on Wednesday! Just hope the tree keeps it’s needles on!
Wow - just look at the panels in this room! In those days, you had lots of staff to cook and tidy up! Upstairs and downstairs stuff! Love the chandelier! Now I really must also buy new pillows. My spare room ones have been there for centuries!
@maggiemae When family come to visit that’s the time I buy new pillows, very fussy about them as I do b&b so they do get changed regularly. Not too keen on the new ones this time though! Soft but hard to get pillow cases on!
