We spent most of the day putting up decorations, earlier than usual but we wanted to be all dolled up for our visitors from NZ who arrive on Wednesday.
The usual struggle to get the tree to fit in the stand, chain saw action, but eventually managed to get it up without a lean.

We do have another artificial tree in our sitting room as it’s too warm when the wood burner is on for the real tree. On its last legs but it looks quite nice lit up in the evening.
Out tonight at Harry’s bowling dinner so no need to comment.
Three good things:
1. The tree lights lit first time!
2. We are being picked up tonight so no need to drive.

ooh I love Christmas too! We put our tree up today, Shall have to see if I can get a good shot of it. We travel north during the holidays so we have a fake tree.
What a beautiful tree.. just a fake tree here for us as we suffer from hayfever from a real tree.. but got money all up the other day with the help from Kenna..
That's beautiful and a great photo of it too. Sometimes tricky to catch the lights. It's beginning to feel like Christmas here too. Allan was great helping me put our tree up but I do the decorating myself .....he's not keen on fiddley stuff. This is when I miss the girls!!! But they enjoy seeing the photos and Susannah and Jonathan will be here for a few days.
