Hard foggy frost last night. Two B&B in & both had to scrape the ice off their windscreens! I was stripping the sheets off the bed & saw Martin earnestly scraping his glass. I dashed down to get my camera but he had got in the car by the time I got back upstairs.
Three good things:
1. Went to the accountants with our signed papers & paid our income tax bill before the end of January deadline!
2. Harry has put my big heavy weights in the boot again....I can’t move much on the ice without them!
3. Fruit for lunch, still on track!
A very bleak and chilly outlook We did have a dusting of snow last night and it has been very chilly in spite of the morning sun ! Not nice when we have to scrape ice off the cars . I hope he did not reverse into your wall with his reverse lights on !!!
A great viewing point across the tiles! Misty and freezing! I expect your Aga goes all night and day! Well done, you - for keeping the food to be less calories!
Oh this looks bleak. I can remember having to de-ice my car before I went to work in a morning when I lived in the UK. Don't miss that at all. These days I have to drive with one finger and one thumb until the aircon kicks in because the steering wheel is so hot, ha ha.
@onewing oh we did laugh at that Babs! I’ve just read it out to Harry! I don’t mind this weather so much it’s the wet & windy stuff that’s the problem!
@happypat oh! That’s right, you call them “boots”, we call them “trunks”. How funny, I honestly thought you couldn’t walk outside without the weights in your boots. I’m laughing.
@louannwarren so am I now Lou Ann as I thought you were joking....I to had forgotten your name is a trunk.....even more confusion!! Funny how just one word alters the whole meaning of a sentence! It’s wonderful!
I also thought your had weights in your shoes at first!!! We had 47C here today and like Babs I had to steer my car with thumb and finger for a while till the steering wheel cooled a bit.

We woke up in a white world this morning; about 5 cm of snow. Beautiful!
