We’ve been to see Bohemian Rhapsody this afternoon, we had been told it was brilliant & we agree!
Queen sort of passed us by when they were at their height but I think I might be classed as a Queen fan now!
It was uncanny how like their original persons the actors were....well casted film.
Three good things:
1. So lovely sitting on the back row with a friend, a hard boiled egg & great music!
2. We took a walk along the promenade afterwards looking for a skirt Dot had seen in the sale but not in the right size, it put steps on my Fitbit & was good exercise!
3. On to a new book....Anything is Possible by Elizabeth Strout...anyone read it?
Lovely image. I ended up seeing Bohemian Rhapsody twice and would happily see it again. So well casted as you say and I do love Queen. I haven’t read that book.
This is rather dramatic and very well organised! I'll have to watch out for that film. Our boys loved Queen so it was one generation further than ours.
@busylady Oh definitely Judith, I was disappointed in The Favourite, sort of fascinating in a weird way but today’s was pure classic full on music! There was a woman in front of me on her own going to see The Favourite, she asked what I thought but I tried not to put her offf but she would have had more fun in cinema number 5!
@dide You are more the age for Queen Dianne but it was an era I didn’t really listen to much music, young children & a busy farming life you know how it is?
@happypat I remember seeing an interview with the 'Freddie Mercury' character and he had 'extra' teeth fitted for the filming and he was able to keep them so he has them gold plaited ... don't think he would choice to wear them again .. Young Freddie should of had some orthodontic work done...
My Daughter went to a funernal once of a work colleague ... he had asked for Bohemium Rhapsody to be played out at the end ... some one 'mucked up' and 'Another One Bites the Dust' played instead... whoops....
@julzmaioro Ooh just seen the comment above....his teeth were very prtuding. I thought he was a wonderful Freddie! Just watched Queen on You Tube doing Live Aid....I enjoyed today’s better!
I do know the author of your new book, but I have not read this.
So glad you got to see Bohemian Rhapsody, I went to see it twice and love it both times. Didn't they match them up so well.
