The Tiber

Can’t believe what I’m seeing on television just now! Watching the famous iconic Notre Dame Cathedral engulfed with flames...a truly horrible sight.
France will be mourning tonight!

The beautiful Tiber river, lovely in every light.

Three good things:
1. Only £3 fine at the library on five overdue books! Thought it might be more!
2. I burnt the evening meal tonight....luckily I rooted something else out of the freezer!
3. I have just been upstairs for something & noticed I had forgotten to make up our bed with clean sheets...wouldn’t have been very happy to have to do it at bedtime!

Such an historic cathedral - truely devastating! A bit like our Christchurch Cathedral - may never be rebuilt!
Hope you went on a cruise up this river - so many historic buildings around there!

@maggiemae No we just walked along it, we were on our way to the Vatican City here! Yes a sad business with these cathedrals, so costly to restore!

@brennieb Oh dear Brenda, that sounds very painful & it will get in your blood stream & make you feel awful. Sounds like you’re run down after all your hard year....I recommend a spot of warm sun & you & John feet up by a pool under a sun brolly with good book! On second thoughts if John is like Harry that would be his worst nightmare! Take care & hope you feel better soon!
