Carabinieri

I took this photo because of the cute shutters warm apricot walls but only afterwards noticed the Carabinieri car parked in the front.
I googled the word & it turns out it’s the National gendarmerie of Italy responsible for domestic policing laws. They are a military force & come under the the Mininstry of Defence.
They are responsible for civil unrest etc. They are always allowed to carry their personal equipment, beretta pistols.

Three good things:
1. Not quite as much damage as feared at Notre Dame in Paris.
2. More painting of walls & doors!
3. Church cleaning for Easter.
4. I have survived a busy day despite not sleeping after 2.30am!

@beryl well no Beryl, photographer is coming on Tuesday with drone & cameras to take lots of photos of house. No b&b stuff out, fire on, all lights lit, no personal stuff out not even a book on bedside table. Dining table laid, flowers out etc etc! Busy times!
