Betty

Betty has taken over from Ginger as the favourite & friendliest hen.
Betty & her two sisters live in the house across the road you can see in this picture.
As soon as they’re let out they beetle across to have their breakfast under our bird table.

I have been painting the front & back door today so she was all for coming inside!

Three good things:
1. All change on the lane, one family in one family hopefully out! Two removal vans arrived at the small thatched cottage down the road.
Our two tennants are hopefully moving out tomorrow, they have been busy today going back wards & forwards to the tip.
2. A very large bouquet of tulips came today, great timing Lesley as I need flowers for photographs on Tuesday!
3. Great communication from two of our grandchildren over the last two days. Harry talked to Alex in Christchurch NZ yesterday & we both talked to Jack in Japan this morning....they are so good at keeping in touch!
Cute shot... I like the framing.

Love how you have names for your hens - part of the family! It reminds me of our lovely Westie - she was called Betty too.

Just love chickens, so sociable though they do scrap the garden to bits!

The first in line always, strutting along the fence taunting our six hens who live in a hen run...a big one it is too but they would love to join Betty & her two sisters!

She can't have had her wings clipped! I'm surprised they don't root all your veggies and flowers out!
