Lavender blue dilly dilly, lavender blue....

I just love lavender & have lots planted around the house. I couldn’t resist buying two more plants last week, we will take them with us when we move.
I like the Hidcote variety best.

Three good things:
1. I have fitted all my clothes, winter & summer in the one wardrobe!
2. Defrosted the deep freeze & thrown stuff out.
3. A sea of red...Liverpool welcome home it’s victorious football team!
Oh Pat that wonderful fragrance is drifting down to me. I do love lavender but do you know not everyone does. How can that be?

How lovely , I have a few clumps of lavender I absolutely love the smell and the old fashioned look of it among other plants - mine are not quite out yet ! I discovered Hidicote last year in Rod's brother's garden and bought a plant when I came home and am excited to see its beautiful deep lavender flower in a week or so !

@beryl Thank you Beryl....I’m always attracted to lavender. I’m a sort of dull garden lover if that makes sense! Liking green & faded sort of flowers, not bright colours but sort is washed out looking so lavender is ideal.

@snowy Thanks Diana very kind of you.

This variety has long stems and quite bushy! When do you have to get out? It would be lovely to spend the summer in your new place but it looks like it will be the rental place!

@maggiemae It will definitely be the rental place because our new place is going to be gutted so we cant live in it....just want to get the key then get the architect in so he can be sorting it before the builder comes in. If we are in for Christmas I will be very happy but it will be a push. Probably have to move out around second week in July I’m guessing!

Beautiful. I love lavender too but ours died a few years ago in 40 degree heat, must get another one. Lavender always reminds me of my Mum, she loved it.
