A nice load of firewood to see us through the next few weeks.
Three good things:
1. A lovely days shopping with Lesley.
2. Made a start on the Christmas shopping.
3. A General Election in December....not sure if that’s a good thing or not but it might trigger off some progress with Brexit!
Well done Harry , at least you will be warm and cosy over the next few weeks . . We surely need fires/ heating as the weather turns frosty ! A gen election in December !!! - they even want to spoil the Christmas feelings and Goodwill to all men ! I just want to bury my head in the sand till its all over - so fed up with our so called government and Brexit !! Haven't thought of Christmas yet , but met up with a friend for lunch today and she declared she has written her Christmas Cards - she has to do them when in the mood !! -- rather premature in my mind !!
@beryl I feel the same Beryl....something* got to give though but I’m not sure anyone feels like voting for any so called politicians, they have disgraced themselves in my eyes arguing the toss all the time!
@julzmaioro It might stop the rot Julz...but we are all so fed up with the lot of them! We are a laughing stock I feel! They will be arguing later this evening whether to have it on the 9th or 12th....never stops!
@maggiemae They load the trailer up with loader & it’s easy to upload at this end. I would normally give him a hand but wasn’t allowed this time. Must be much more bending if it’s on the ground.
That surely is a nice load of firewood, Pat.
Brexit seems a never ending story...I don't understand what's the difference between voting on the 9th and the 12th of December.
@gijsje Well something to do with the earlier date not having time to push through Brexit I think.. I’m confused myself Bep....I seem to have lost the plot this week!
@onewing You can vote for Lib Dems, Green Party, Brexit Party & of course Boris or Jeremy.....all a shower but it’s Boris as the best of a bad bunch for me.
We had a wood stove as a kid and our chores involved packing all the wood inside. It was stored a distance away and it was NOT fun. I vowed to NEVER own a wood stove. Your man appears to be smiling so I guess he doesn't mind the job too much!
Ah, lovely! We have a couple of woodstores for our stove. Very therapeutic chopping it up! I think you are right about the Gen Election. Parliament is so torn, we need a new one with a proper majority to get the thing moving. So bored with how long it is taking! Must be extremely unsettling for small businesses who don't know where they are.

What a decision you have to make. I wouldn't vote for either Boris or Jeremy. Are there any other alternatives?
