Harry & I had a lovely long walk this afternoon with daughter & son in law.
They know all the footpaths & with two cars we could set off from one place & have a car at either end.
We were on the last lap here after stopping at Light Ash Cafe for refreshments.
We walked around 13000 steps.
Three good things:
1. Good to get some exercise on a frosty sunny day.
2. Away from the busy roads....the traffic was terrible today...everyone out & about in the sunshine.
3. I fell over in the mud but no bones broken!
I'm surprised that you are allowed to walk in a farmer's beet field! It is probably a designated trail, though! Don't seem to have that here. Oh dear - falling in that mud probably meant a change of clothes!
Looks like it was 'Red Band' conditions... Oh no on the falling over .. come home with muddy knees... Looks like a good crop of sugar beet ... do they graze it off or pull it and feed it in the barns..?
@julzmaioro I nearly took my wellies but in fact it wasn’t too muddy most of the way round. Going through this field was a marked diversion from the footpath. This land is Duchy land owned by the Queen. It belongs to Myerscough Agriculture College so pretty public. Not sure how it’s fed....but they have lots of sheep so probably graze it off.
