We aren’t the only ones giving our houses a good old clean up, going through cupboards & generally catching up with jobs.
On my walk on Tuesday I noticed the Cartford Inn was having a freshen up.
Three good things:
1. I spent all afternoon reading in the garden. I finished Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. I loved it!
2. A catch up with the youngest grandchildren in the middle of the night.
3. Harry received a Lindt chocolate bunny for his lambing efforts yesterday, a little girl!
We are blessed with such beautiful weather - I found this afternoon too hot to work in the garden ! A lot of weeding done over the last week or so and as @carolmw says , no bedding plants to plant !
@countrylassie Fabulous book Lesley, two days to read it so as you can tell I haven’t done any cleaning! I couldn’t understand what those two stray reviews were...how could you not love that book?
@beryl Lots of mowing done here so all looks tidy but my garden has loads of bulbs flowering so no weeding here! It’s just shrubs & spring bulbs under the oak trees. Very easy to maintain thank goodness!
No lockdown for these workers! Probably glad they have a job! I suppose I could go round the house with a broom and get all the spider webs off....but I can't be bothered!
I haven't got to cleaning yet, I still have lots of other projects on the go. Do the occasional dusting and vacuuming but nothing beyond that. As you know we usually have a hectic social life and I thought I would have more free time now we are more isolated, but I have just channeled myself in other directions.
A lot of lunchrooms and pubs are cleaning and renovating in the Netherlands, some set up spaces ( like booths) available for 2 persons only... trying to go with “ the 1 and a 1/2 meter Society”, that will be “ the new normal” our Cabinet explains it
@onewing Same here Babs, I have done no more cleaning than I normally do....we are very scaled down & uncluttered anyway due to house sale whenever that may be! I can’t get motivated anyway!
We have been doing the same and now the council have closed the Tips and stopped all rubbish collection except ordinary household black bag waste, we have nowhere to put anything from the garden or house we sort, so they are pleading with people not to fly tip and not to have any clear outs! But it is a perfect time to do both to keep us sane. (Not fly tip, clear out house and garden LOL!!)
@joansmor I have done no cleaning whatsoever sadly! 😳 🤣🤣
Lots of gardening being done here, the weather is lovely so that helps. Our biggest number of cases yesterday. It’s frightening!
