Cathy bought me this rainbow so I thought a good place was on the Aga chimney breast.
The rainbow has become a symbol of the Coronavirus pandemic with children putting their drawings up in our windows including 10 Downing Street.
A very apt symbol I think & I’m so pleased with it.
Three good things:
1. House viewers.
2. Fresh flowers in vases.
3. Cathy has lent me her Kindle as mine has broken. The charging socket has been damaged somehow & it won’t even open. It has been playing up for a while, slow at turning pages & battery problems.
I have ordered myself a new one....even though I have been using the library a bit more I love my kindle but at the rate I read if I had to use only my kindle it would cost me a fortune so I compromise by using both.
A very cleverly made rainbow. A shame your kindle cannot recharge. I vary my reading style too and must check if our library is open again or not. I often read kid’s books so I’m up to date for school recommendations. Hopefully the viewers will be keen!
Hadn't heard about the rainbow thing.. good idea.. We had teddy bears in the windows.. You certainly give your kindle a good workout.. and I guess they are safer at the moment than library books.. Good luck with that viewing🤞
A lovely rainbow above your Aga , I hung a small poster in my dining room window - but it got on my nerves and I am ashamed to say I ripped it down !! The council here have randomly painted the rainbow on some of the roads around the towns - there is one in Wellington approaching the roundabout to go to Morrisons ! - A nice way to remind us all !
We have rainbows and teddy bears here too in our windows.
I had to chuckle when you said 'children putting their drawings up in our windows including 10 Downing Street' Are you saying your Prime Minister is a child, ha ha.
This reminds me very much of our family home in the Isle of Man, especially as our Aga was exactly like this and the same colour. My bedroom was over the kitchen...and wonderfully warm in Winter. Happy, happy days;-j
@s4sayer I can just imagine it....the Aga warms the whole house...am I ever going to live without one....might be first thing that goes in when we finally move! 🤣🤣
@julzmaioro Libraries still shut Julz....no mention of them opening! I think kindles have been doing quite well in the sales department as I’m having to wait until the one I want comes back in stock!
@beryl Well you did it for a bit Beryl.....This is the first one I have had up & Cathy ordered them weeks ago but only just arrived! Funnily enough she had put hers up but she said it clashed with her walls so was going to move it somewhere else!
@dide Surely your library is open now Dianne...not much hope for us if yours isn’t!! Strangely they keep telling us no danger from catching it by newspapers, letters or parcels yet they haven’t opened libraries. Perhaps they think because books are going from house to house they are a risk.
@dide Just been checking google about them opening up here....no chance until at least July....there are things I never considered so I’m glad I bought my new kindle...yes our library probably the same as yours hosts lots of activities & clubs too. Sadly missed. They struggle enough to keep going anyway so this is a setback indeed!
That's a fab photo and I love the colour of your Aga......it would fit in here very nicely I think ...........it's so much more than a cooker!!
I do hope the viewers loved your place.
