Bleasdale by happypat

Bleasdale

After I had had my new front tyres fitted I went the long way home.
Along part of the Trough of Bowland & down into Inglewhite where we used to live.
Sadly by that time the beautiful sunny day had somewhat deteriorated & clouded over a bit.
Full of good intentions to have a walk up there but it felt cold & damp & I was lazy.

Three good things:
1. Andrea my nephews wife put me right this morning about the mystery tup...he is a Dutch Spotted Texel! She will know as all the sheep pictures I put on here are from their farm.
2. Although we loved living around there for over thirty years of my life I realised we are better off where we are & that I enjoy the buzz of things going on & being able to walk to the shops now. It felt right driving into our drive.
3. Using my slow cooker again tonight...it all smells & looks delicious!
Still a lovely scene Pat - and I know what you mean by this weather making you lazy, I'm the same at the moment!

A beautiful scene Pat. I think life is so different for all of us at the moment. It seems to change so often. My first vaccination tomorrow so hoping there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Lovely view! It’s good to hear you’re enjoying your new living area. I agree living within walking distance to shops is a treat!

@gijsje Thanks Bep...it was the first time I had felt like that....love going back of course & seeing friends which we do lots & Daughter still lives round there but we are better where we are now...only five miles away.

@lyndamcg My back is bad at the moment...carried a heavy bag of shopping too far yesterday...trying to walk but should have been empty handed!

Your territory has such interesting names! Glad to know about the Dutch spotted sheep - looks quite a new breed and will be very popular. Love being 5 mins drive from anywhere from our home...instead of 30 to 40mins away in the past!

It does look beautiful and served you well for many years. We too lived rather remotely during our RAF years, but it is nice to have everything close to hand as we get older.

What a restful landscape...to keep in mind as the world hurtles into Christmas mania. Stay safe.
December 15th, 2020
@maggiemae @onewing We need convenience as we get older....🥰
December 15th, 2020
@s4sayer Yes Christmas mania is a good word....the trouble is all the younger ones are desperate to party! I’m past partying although I must say we will miss our New Years Eve bash this year!

@bkbinthecity The blue was there still but the day had decided to wind down!

even though the light was fading away quickly, you still got a nice landscape shot pat

That is a lovely place. I know that area well as I went to uni near there and spent a lot of time in the Lakes. Cool capture.

Lovely pastoral scene. We are sorely in need of a sunny day up here - we are just getting grey, dull days at the moment. I met Joanne yesterday whilst I was out walking dad's dog in Braemar, so your name was mentioned :-) We had a good natter.

It looks a bit dreary Phil but it was really cloudy behind me....the last bit of blue sky!
