I walked to the village this morning for an appointment. I was glad as it’s always hard to,park on a market day. The stalls take all the space up.
It actually looks quiet here but it was very busy behind & across, it was good to see people out supporting them.
I feel guilty now as I never bought anything...no cash on me!
Three good things:
1. Free returns. I am wanting a shorter jacket that’s warm & waterproof so sent for two very nice Musto jackets. Neither fitted right as I’m short waisted so only in the house an hour then winging their way back from whence they came!
2. Up to date videos of little Nina...keeping us in the great grandparent loop!
3. I was able to text the buyers of our house & check if we can pick up something we think we’ve left...they are very obliging!
I left a small driftwood Christmas tree which she has put lights on at the back door...we aren’t doing much decorating this year so she’s keeping it until after Christmas....we seemed to leave in a hurry that day as it was so late so very handy we haven’t moved far!
When it’s slippy I have to put two weights in the boot of my rear wheel drive car, we left those too.....
The plants are getting watered anyway and it wouldn't matter with fruit and vegetables. Not so good for Xmas gifts. Never thought of putting weights in the boot when its slippery but then we seem to have weights there of something or other, all the time!
I’m sad to be thanking you all in one big group but have had a busy night, talking to my brother & then I’m immersed in the week of the final of Professional Masterchef ....last night tomorrow & we will know whose won....my moneys on Santosh if anyone else is watching!
I thank you all for your lovely comments...read them all with interest!
@zambianlass Well I love your photos....they are such a different world than mine even though we were dairy farmers ......no worries re commenting I know you lead a busy life! Happy Christmas to you & your family!
A very wet day! Interesting about the cash - I have stopped carrying it completely now because no-one wants it, they all ask for contactless card payments. Bizarre as I was always a cash girl before this year!
Another misty day here. Very quiet in the streets here, full lockdown since yesterday; most shops closed.
