Just a few if the husky dogs we met on the beach yesterday.
If you look to the right there is the odd one out….Connie dashing down from the sand dunes.
Three good things:
1. I have done all my Christmas present wrapping.
2. Watching South Pacific on BBC 2 it hasn’t lost its charm after all these years!
3. What very slim waists girls had in those days….they must have eaten very little! We are luckier, more food & no shortages but I expect they were healthier!
You are so lucky to have the beach for Conner to run on Pat. Much as I love my new home and being nearer to my family I do miss the freedom and super walks I had within a few minutes of my last home.
@casablanca When I think 24inch waists were the norm Casa…now it’s more like 34! We must have been half starved but we never ate between meals & all home cooked traditional meals. We have never been fed so well with so much choice!
Such an expanse of beach with the fog in the distance to infinity ! Love to see the little lone ranger bobbing along the beach - free as the wind .
Well done re your Pressie wrappings - iI am so slow at it this year - and finding it difficult to make a neat job of things - a couple more little ones to do ! How lovely to have watches SouthPacific this afternoon - I hope there will be some lovely old fashioned films on over Christmas - even if I will have to go to the other room to watch !!Don't mention waists !!
Connie is having fun. I wonder why all the other dogs are on leads, can't the run free on this beach?
I remember slim waists. When I was young I was so skinny. We lived in a grocers shop which Mum owned and sweets, biscuits and cakes were the norm. Because they were there all the time the temptation just wasn't there so we just didn't eat them often.
As you say we didn't eat between meals either.
@onewing Shame for them all on leads, I have no idea why, perhaps they are sled pulling dogs so would run off if loose.
I was never skinny but loads slimmer than I am now & I thought I was fat then. Sizes of clothes are not the same either , I reckon a size twelve then would be at most a ten now.
A dog walker's paradise - all that flat space but I see the huskies are on leads. A good choice as huskies can apparently go hell for leather and not come back!
@beryl Carousel was on just before Beryl but I was quite shocked really how racial SP was….how our perceptions change. The music was lovely of course & that was the main thing. Harry does not like films so seeing as we are all in one open plan space I will have to use my ear phones on the kitchen tv. Or my iPad which is very clear.
One if the disadvantages with only one living space.
Love your name The Lone Ranger…..Cathy will love that….exactly what she is but always looking to see if we are still there.
