I love hyacinths so when I saw this last pot in Booths just before Christmas I snatched it up.
I loved the tin pot & next year I will pot my own bulbs up instead of buying them.
It’s amazing how quickly they grow & flower once they come inside in the warmth.
Three good things:
1. My car has been making a heck of a noise all over Christmas & of course the garages have been shut. Today I took it into our local garage & apparently it’s to do with the heater motor. I was worried it was the cam belt but mine has a chain so that’s a massive relief. It’s going in next Wednesday!
2. A silk shirt returned.
3. I have no inclination to live in Spain! I watch homes in the sun & think not for me thank you!
I bet the perfume is beautiful.. hope your car gets sorted without too much expense..
We are watching Home in the sun 🌞 on TV at the moment as well.. can't really see the attraction..
A beautiful plant ,but not a fan as I can never have them in the house the powerful perfume brings out my hay-fever symptoms ! Sorry re your car - hope it will be sorted next week without too much expense ! As for Spain - - not my idea of heaven !!!!
It’s a pretty colour and I’ll bet the scent is lovely. Cars are a pain to get repaired at this time of the year. 10 days before Christmas mine got stolen from outside our daughter’s place in the city... it was located that night with a bit of damage, but we still haven’t got it back, let alone got any repairs underway!
@beryl Like minds….my brother loves Spain & goes with his caravan every year….I expect I would like it for a short holiday but no longer! Bad luck with the perfume…strangely since I had covid my smell hasn’t been quite the same & I can hardly smell these.
@dide Our local garage seems to have been shut even for fuel for ages. Was just relieved the noise was only a nuisance & not dangerous! That must have been very annoying but so glad you got your car back Dianne. As long as our cars go we can put up with a bit of damage & faults.
Your hyacinth looks lovely. Nicely colour coordinated too with your kitchen.
My auntie and uncle lived in Spain when they retired at Alicante and a couple of our ex RAF friends moved there too when they left the Service but it isn't somewhere I fancy. Glad we came to Australia.
My smell is very good but I don't find hyacinths perfume too strong at all. Like roses, some have perfume, some don't. The must look good inside when its cold and wintery outside!
What a festive shot, Pat with the Christmas Hyacinth blooming and your pretty tree in the background!
Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2022!

Not smelling too strongly sadly, think it’s me lost a bit of my smell since covid. Definitely use the pot next year.
