St Anne’s Church in Dublin.
Taken on our recent holiday in Ireland…I looked down a side street & saw this lovely doorway. I liked the couple & the vicar framed in the doorway.
I seemed to get distracted from my Irish photos so popping back as I haven’t anything better.
Three good things:
1. I’ve had a couple of hours weeding this afternoon…surprising how much you can do in that time if you keep your head down.
2. We’ve had the ear syringe lady….I can hear much better!
3. Visited some friends this morning whose Diamond wedding anniversary it is today. We had scones, jam & clotted cream!
Such beautiful and imposing architecture with its delightful archway and pillars and the red door makes you look twice! A great composition Pat, with the couple being welcomed by the vicar while another person is walking into the scene!
A very grand entrance, and a striking door. I can quite understand about having the ear syringe lady - the docor's won't do it any more. We had cheese scones today - i made them with Monty and he loved them! At least they aren't full of sugar.
@busylady I have really gone off sweet stuff….had some crisps after the scones which I much preferred!
The ear lady is not cheap Judith….to think they uses to do it free & now it cost us £60 each!! We did get discount of ten pounds because Harry asked!
Enjoying your Ireland photos. And this is a lovely church entrance with the vicar meeting the two persons at the door. My visit to Ireland a few years ago was in the Cork area - enchanting place too.
