After the funeral we dropped Jack off at home….we stopped the car & Harry opened his door & in jumped Connie straight away!
After a few hours on her own she was ready for company!
Well the cinema visit wasn’t as good as we hoped…..disappointed in The Extraordinary Pilgrimage of Harold Fry……. It wasn’t a patch on the book! Jim Broadbent was excellent but I never remember the book being gloomy & dreary…..it had no joy in it whatsoever!
Aww, she loves you!
But the film sounds a bit pants. I don't like "gritty" or depressing interpretations of stories. I want to leave a cinema feeling good!
Ha ha could hamper your driving there Pat! Shame about the cinema not living up to expectations. I often find films are not a patch on the book you’ve read.
Aw isn't Connie sweet she was obviously thinking she was going out for a walk.
I have read the Harold Fry book and saw the trailer for the movie when Sharon and I were at the cinema on Sunday. If it is gloomy I don't think I will bother going to see it.
Have you read The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy too?
@onewing Yes I have Babs…. She is a good writer, I did enjoy both books. Not sure if I would have d joyed the film better on my own but my friend hadn’t read the book so perhaps it was seeing it through her eyes! I would love you to go ‘ give me your opinion so don’t let me put you off.
