Harry mowed the lawn yesterday & I spent the morning weeding! 😨🤦♀️
I can’t tell you how I hate gardening!
I would have been happy with a small decked area with no grass & lovely seating place! Perhaps a small water feature & & possibly an overhead canopy of some description.
We opened up the bifold doors & it was lovely but the weeds are always there looking at me!
I’m in charge of the left hand side…..where the weeds grow! 🤣🤣🤣
I do like the space around us as we’ve always had that so I can’t grumble.
I’m with you on the weeding. We don’t have any annuals now - only bark around shrubs. The veggie garden is enough for me. Your photo looks lovely though with lots of space.
Your garden is lovely either its long stretch of lawn but I am a bit with you on the weeding side of things.. seem to always have an excuse.. tòo hot.. too cold ..too wet.. but filling it up with lots of plants helps then no room for weeds..
When w3 moved here this garden was a mass of five foot brambles. They still try to peak through if they can. The soil on the left has many bramble roots so it’s hard to dig. I’ve planted lots of perennials & stuff that was there before is slowly coming to life now they have space & light. I want it all to be so full of plants that no room for weeds!
Well it’s lovely. I used to not mind planting a few things and pulling weeds but honestly these days I just don’t really have the time nor do I have the inclination. 😊 I have lots of pots sitting around, they are more than enough for me.
Such a delight to look out to ! Such a lovely even lawn now - You both must be very proud of how it looks now , considering the wilderness you faced when you first moved in! I used to love to be out in the garden - but these days find all the weeding etc has got beyond me , and wished we had less to do to keep things tidy!
It always looks good when the lawn is mowed. We had that weed problem for years until we made the decision to get weed mat put on and then fill in the gaps with bark or such.
