I’ve been in the loft today looking for old photos from out old farmhouse to show the folk who bought it how one of the rooms used to look.
Of course once you start looking through the photo box it throws up all sorts of memories…..more of those in future times.
This one was taken around ten years ago when we had lots of rain & flooding .
The farm next to us had some cows on rented land that flooded quite badly. We gave them a lift to bring the cows off & back to drier land.
We had to stop the traffic on the main road.
Poor Anne the farmers wife died suddenly not long after this.
Harry & I took the bus into Blackpool today. I had a hearing test & a change of hearing aids…..I’ve gone WiFi!
First time on the. Us for Harry in years! He enjoyed it! It was free too!!
a bit of social history Pat , look forward to more photos from your loft !!! You should use you bus passes more regularly , you've paid for them in tax etc. over the years
@phil_howcroft Well we have always just driven. I wouldn’t like to go for a food shop but it’s the third time I have been on the bus. It’s slower but we have time. It takes a bit of practice finding the bus stops & the buses are only every hour but so far so good.
Plus first time we have ever lived on a bus route!
You have had lots of flooding really - perhaps not showing cattle rescues. With plenty of time, buses are a great experience. Just not to a supermarket.
