Nicola’s place by happypat

Nicola’s place

On yesterdays walk Connie & I went to the next village for a change & walked the route Nicola took that last morning. A beautiful place, now peaceful & back to normal after all the terrible publicity.
Taken from the bench, we sat a while & thought of her & her family.

I must add that the bank is steep there & if you stood at the top nothing could stop you from plunging forward into the river which was deep yesterday.
We payed a visit to the churchyard too.

What a sad walk, but good to stop and be thoughtful of what occurred there

It was quite an experience. I pass that bridge over the Wyre & next to the path every week but I’ve never walked down for years. Very sad but the publicity made a bad time so much worse. All quiet now & she is remembered with love.
