We had fun yesterday, playing golf at Seraincourt, a new course for us in the outskirts of Paris. Our daughter was able to come with us for once but she didn't have any clubs. The club very kindly offered to lend her some.
Those of you who have followed me for a while may remember that Mhairi spent a year working for Ping Golf in Phoenix. When she left she bought herself a beautiful set of Ping high-tech clubs (which are of course in the UK at the moment).
We laughed and laughed at the set she was given at the club - the oldest, most mis-matched set of clubs you could imagine. As if golf wasn't challenging enough! She was truly not impressed, but she still beat me by 4 strokes ... although admittedly she did steal my driver for tee-shots!
A little bit late for an April fool, but it felt very much like one!
I started to type, then noticed that Gayle already said what I was about to say, but I'm going to say it, anyway: Her expression is priceless! Great photo.
@gaylewood The bag was also vintage as you so rightly say ... that carry strap ... The modern ones are so lightweight and have a great double carry strap which makes carrying clubs so much easier, as you can put them on your back between shots. It was a fun day, and it gave us something to giggle about though!
