Vintage Golf

We had fun yesterday, playing golf at Seraincourt, a new course for us in the outskirts of Paris. Our daughter was able to come with us for once but she didn't have any clubs. The club very kindly offered to lend her some.

Those of you who have followed me for a while may remember that Mhairi spent a year working for Ping Golf in Phoenix. When she left she bought herself a beautiful set of Ping high-tech clubs (which are of course in the UK at the moment).

We laughed and laughed at the set she was given at the club - the oldest, most mis-matched set of clubs you could imagine. As if golf wasn't challenging enough! She was truly not impressed, but she still beat me by 4 strokes ... although admittedly she did steal my driver for tee-shots!

A little bit late for an April fool, but it felt very much like one!
Love her expression! And what a challenge to have played with those and won!

@taffy Yes, it was the expression I liked too ... obviously she was smiling really but we thought this was a good record of the day!

Not looking very impressed.. I could make a hash of the game even with the best of clubs..

A great expression! Yes, definitely not impressed. I am glad to hear it did not dampen her game too much!

I started to type, then noticed that Gayle already said what I was about to say, but I'm going to say it, anyway: Her expression is priceless! Great photo.

I love her priceless expression - then enjoyed reading the story behind it. Still made a good day though. And wonderful colors.

Hahaha, great look on her face... sketchy clubs! Fun shot.

How adorably funny! LOVE the expression she handed yo for this delightful photo!

@gaylewood The bag was also vintage as you so rightly say ... that carry strap ... The modern ones are so lightweight and have a great double carry strap which makes carrying clubs so much easier, as you can put them on your back between shots. It was a fun day, and it gave us something to giggle about though!

ha ha ha, This shot & her facial expression does portray her disappointment, but I'm guessing you still had a great time. :)

Oh dear, her face tells the story! Glad she was able to be with you, though.
