La Torchère

Yesterday I went to visit the Ceramics Museum in Sèvres, on the outskirts of Paris. It was a very interesting visit. My favourite piece was undoubtedly this one - La Torchère designed and made by Louis-Robert Carrier-Belleuse for the 1889 Universal Exhibition in Paris. It was restored in 2007, supervised by Claire Idrac.
