Vieux Annecy by jamibann

Vieux Annecy

The entrance to the old town in Annecy, near my daughter's apartment.

Thank you to everyone for their good wishes for Mhairi's speedy recovery. She is making great progress and is leaving hospital later today. Her face is improving daily and her morale is too.
Pleased to hear of your daughter's good progress, very worrying for you and the family. I remember Annecy from 50 years ago.....when I had a wonderful trip there with my mum and dad (who was a coach driver). I was 15 at the time and the place filled me with so much delight....so olde worlde, so unlike any place I had ever seen. I still have a photograph or two from that trip....I can almost taste the Run Baba's from the tiny little bakery shop in the old market......yummy

Glad to hear that your daughter is on the mend. I like the shallow dof and focus.

Pretty branch with red leaves.

@cutekitty You'll probably find it hasn't changed much! It's still very olde world. The brocante market was on today ... and it fairly takes you back in time! It's a wonderful town. So scenic.

Encouraging news about Mhairi! I like the way you blurred the background buildings into a lovely textured backdrop for these red leaves. Very pretty.

Cool use of DoF here. Creates a dreamy sense from the buildings' blur. So glad your daughter is on the mend. Whew.

@lyndemc thanks Denise! We're feeling very relieved and now looking forward to seeing her get back to her old self. The progress in 4 days is amazing though.

@paulaw it's amazing the difference 4 days makes. She's making great progress and no longer looks as if she's just done 4 rounds with Mike Tyson! The arm will take longer, but she's been lucky, for sure.
