And, so, today was the day that I plucked up courage to ask Hugh if he'd mind if I took a photo of him tending his begonias in our greenhouse. Of course he was delighted and I'll give him a copy of this photo. He doesn't look a day over 80, does he, and he's 92!
What a delightful photo.....a real treasure.
And fantastic when garden lovers can still enjoy planting and caring.
My own dad was 90 when he died just about a year ago and was picking strawberries the day before he went to hospital. I remember so many lovely things about him when I'm working in the garden at Mum's.
