and then departed 12 hours later! Our darling son got back from a month in China on Friday evening, arriving home at half past midnight on Saturday morning. By 1pm on Saturday he had left again - this time for a weekend with school pals in Glasgow. I look forward to seeing him again tomorrow and getting all the news. As you might imagine, a large portion of his time at home was spent in bed, and doing his washing!
But he did come bearing gifts - in particular this beautiful bottle of 52% proof Chinese Rice Wine. We have not yet sampled it, but I love the bottle!
That's a beautiful bottle. I know the feeling....Susannah arrived home from Amsterdam yesterday and today she left for the western isles where she is visiting relations, some of whom she hasn't met and some who met her when she was little.
Then catching up with friends from Edinburgh on holiday there and back here on Wed night. I can't believe the pace!!!!
