The bonnie blooming heather

It's that time of year in Scotland. The heather is in full bloom and there are Highland Games taking place all over the country. This Saturday, the first Saturday in September, it's the Braemar Gathering. We will be going for the first time in years. I wonder which members of the Royal family will attend? It's always a secret until the day. Heather is used to decorate the outside of the Royal Box, so seeing it in bloom always makes me think of the Braemar Gathering.
