The Lantern of the North by jamibann

The Lantern of the North

Hubby has gone on off on a golfing weekend, so I thought I'd take myself off on a photography weekend - starting off with the historic ruins of Elgin Cathedral. Not far from home, but I've never visited. The roof of the octagonal chapter house is something to see and dates back to 1270.
Wow, amazing! Love all the lines and shapes

What a great perspective to show off this amazing roof. I would love to see a colour version to see what kind of building material was used back then.

This is gorgeous. We have stopped here a few times but I've not really explored it .... there has been a lot of scaffolding up recently.
