A funny story. Maggie, who lives in Nairn, booked this restaurant for us on Friday evening. The boys rushed off the golf course to be there on time. The girls arrived first, the advance party, to find that a mistake had been made (by Maggie ...) and that it had been booked for the Saturday evening, not the Friday! Not good. However, a quick rush home, and a rustling up of food saved the day! Fortunately we had planned to eat in on Saturday evening, so just advanced it by a day, and lots of things were pre-prepared. Maggie was most embarrassed, but it worked out just fine and we had a super evening at 112 on Saturday. A really good place to eat if you're ever in Nairn. Small plates of many delicious things, tapas style, and nice wines to choose from too. Highly recommended! I went back on Sunday morning to snap a photo - just to remember the moment. :-)
I love the story, it has happened to us already too! We also appeared at a birthday party a week too early, that was really embarrassing! Lovely shot with the basket of flowers.
These things happen! My DIL booked a hotel in Cumbria for a few days last week, rang up to check the booking before they set off this morning & discovered she had booked for last week… no show!
Easily done but disappointing. You can go another time & things to say down the years ‘do you remember when……?’
