Last year's late summer day of jelly-making produced lemon verbena jelly and this rose geranium jelly. It tastes even sweeter now 9 months later, mingling with memories of those delightfully-scented, velvety rose geranium leaves freshly cut and carried still warm from the sun into the kitchen — as if somehow late summer sunshine ended up in the jar.
I praise you, Lord, for this rose geranium jelly — and the sweet memories.
