I discovered this tiny nest dangling over the road as I walked along with Gracie on this beautiful morning, and I now find myself curious. What species created this masterpiece? At first, because of its tiny size, I thought of a Ruby-throated Hummingbird; but it's dangling, and I see no lichen. Next, I thought of a Baltimore Oriole; and although it seems a tad smaller than I'd expect, I'm satisfied with that thought. After all, I'd rather concentrate on the bigger picture.
But ask the beasts, and they will teach you;
the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you;
or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you;
and the fish of the sea will declare to you.
Who among all these does not know
that the hand of the LORD has done this?
— Job 12:7-9
I praise you, Lord, for the glimpse of your glory.
I love how you capture the small things, that truly are the bigger things. I wonder if you will find out the answer to this mystery. Lovely observation, composition and words.
