Yes, a welcome winter pop of color at the pond compliments of the cotoneaster; but also, so much more. Like ten minutes outside, gray day and all, kneeling cold in wet mulch along the very edge of the pond listening to the wild rush of water cascading over the rocks with colorful fish resting deep and motionless beneath the surface. I, after leaning to get just a wee bit closer while holding my breath and hoping to not fall in, left happy and thankful for the ten minutes. I could have just kept pushing on, crossing tasks off my to do list.
I praise you, Lord, for reminding me that life is not an emergency — and for keeping me from falling into the pond.
So beautiful. FAV I had never heard the name of this shrub out loud before I went to the garden center to purchase one. They had a laugh when I pronounced it Cotton Easter. LOL.
