Focus stacking by jesika2

Focus stacking

Been playing with my annus horribilis distraction therapy implement and attempting focus stacking on a compound eye. Sadly I found the Mother of Pearl moth dead but its death provided a suitable model.
The Oly tough TG5 takes about 7 shots with different focus and piles them together eliminating the usual out of focus areas. It also records a single shot to show the out of focus areas. It's brilliant!

@koalagardens Thanks, I've been playing again today. It's sad that the moth died, such short lives for most of them, but they provide great opportunities for experimentation.

@julienne1 It's truly astonishing what this camera can pick up. I thought my reversed lens old Canon picked up detail but this is remarkable
