121122 OM1 stars 7 south 30sec ISO 800
Looking south and the Milky Way is faintly visible from the lower right to upper left. Clever Steve edited another photo for me and labelled stars, consellations and the MW.
In spring, when it rises I'll be out at silly o'clock and hopefully my eyes will also see it.
The 7-14 lens is very curved, doesn't like high humidity despite a heater, and there is the beginnings of the infamous Black Hole centre of the photo.

@rhoing thank you. Seeing the Milky Way is high on my must do list, had no idea it was visible I from my garden so was very surprised, pleasantly surprised when Steve pointed it out. So now, when skies are clear and dry, I’ll be out playing, testing ISO and length of exposure until I’m reasonably confident I know what I’m doing.
The 7-14 lens is a gem, my 12-40 is equally fast at 2.8, but I’ve checked back and it doesn’t seem able to pick the traces of MW.
Roll on spring. I’ll be out with a chair at silly o’clock, looking, wishing and hoping that my eyes will be able to see it.
