The houses at the bottom of the field have small gardens. The water is reaching their walls and fences. It will be quite a long time before the field is passable again.
Meanwhile, in Swan Lake AKA Rowntree Park, 2 Swans are in conversation with a third which is calling plaintively to those inside.

A super series - fav! I would have been out for photos but I collected an unpleasand cold from our daughter and her family before they went home this morning. Still, there will be other floods.....
@koalagardens here in York the floods, so far, are usually mostly an inconvenience but I suspect that in time they might well become dangerous. Certainly other parts of the country are experiencing even worse flooding. Other countries have absolutely devastating floods and I suspect the world situation will become even more unpredictable and destructive.
