This is another shot taken the night I got up in the middle of the night camping in Zion. What a sky! I don't understand what lit up the rocks in the background...moon? or was it simply how long a shutter speed I used. Opinions?
Lovely detail in the sky. The Milky Way shows nicely here. Moon or starlight will do that to the features that are in direct light line in long exposure. Beautifully executed. Fav.
Wonderful starry capture!! It's amazing to see so many stars,when I've stayed at my son-in-law's parents home,on top of a mountain in Crete,the stars are totally amazing(no light pollution there).Fav!!
Considering this was taken during a new moon it's not moonlight... I'm a little surprised by it too, honestly.
