Magical Light In the Cedars in Black and White

I was playing with intentional camera movement while hiking through this cedar forest and liked how this one turned out. Since I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my black and white book club book, I thought I'd mess around a bit with black and white conversion. I've posted this also in color in my extras album.
Thanks ever so much for the new follows, comments, suggestions, visits favs. I especially appreciate teh suggestions...that is how I learn best. But I know it takes more time.
Awesome b&w

This is a really interesting capture! With ICM, do you move the camera a lot to get that effect or is is a subtle movement?

@redy4et I've experimented with different paces. I try to hold it briefly on the spot I want in focus and move from there. This ICM was from bottom up but I've tried side to side, up and down etc and tried varying shutter speeds. It's fun to experiment with

The light in the middle is lovely. I do love ICM - it's incredibly satisfying for some reason!

Almost spooky, in a good way! Love the patterns, the perspective and lines, and the "surprise" shaft of light. FAVE

Great...these vertical lines seem to work extremely well with the intentional movement.

I can't make up my mind between them. I think this does capture the movement effect more and like the b/w. Somehow has a magical look.

Dreamy is the right word. This works better than I would have expected in B&W.
