We had a brief lull in the weather yesterday and I went out with my camera. Looks as if the next week or more will be rain, rain, and more rain. we need it so I shouldn't complain.
For those who have followed me for a while, I posted a shot of this last year but decided to play around a bit with editing. When I was a Nurse midwife with five small kids at home, my husband built this little space for me to sleep during the day. It has had many other uses over the years but right now more is a memory holder.
Thanks so much for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs. I really appreciate you
@nanalisarocks Not for many years. I couldn't cope with the lack of sleep and was the only midwife in the practice for too many years even though I did home, clinic, and hospital births. And I felt as if I wasn't going to get a chance to know my children before they grew up. I still miss the sacred mystery that I got to participate in. I was more recently, until I retired in December, a mental health Nurse Practitioner. Thanks for the fav
What a magical, dreamy little getaway. I can't imagine having five children, much less having an 'on call' job 24-7. And what a sweet husband to build this for you. I LOVE the moss on the roof!
darkling little space! my daughter is a labor and delivery nurse and works 7p-7a. She NEEDS a space like this! at least she only has to go 3 times a week.
