About 10 years ago someone gave us a Himalayan Rhododendron plant. It is now about 10 ft tall and has never before this year had any blooms. What a surprise to see them in abundanace just ebgibnning to open. I have been taking pictures daily of this first one. It looks as if it is inviting all pollinators to come visit. You will see more of these in the days ahead, I suspect. Thank goodness ofr Macro March!
Thanks so much for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs. I am behind on commenting because I spent all day yesterday with friends who came over from Eugene for a late celebration of my 70th birthday. We had a lovely day with great conversation, fabulous lunch, and a windy wild walk by the ocean. I will get to commenting as soon as I can.
Fabulous Jane. I've seen the Rhodos in the Himalayas and they grow so very tall that you wouldn't believe that they are in any way related to the ones we know. Up at the treeline they are as tall as the pines
