This is for @ericdibosco. As I said yesterday, I went off during a pause in the storms to take some sample photos with my Sigma 150-500 lens with teleconverter that i am selling. Yesterday's lighthouse was taken with a different lens and personally I prefer the composition with the waves, rocks, clouds that I posted yesterday. Eric suggested I share a more zoomed in shot taken using the longer lens. Here it is taken from the same spot as yesterday's.
Thanks for all yous marvelous support and suggestions, comments, favs
This is beautiful, too. I agree with you, however. I like the wide angle shot better. It gives you a much better perspective. It's hard to see just how huge this cliff is when it is zoomed in. In the other shot, the lighthouse looks so small in comparison to the cliff on which it sits.
The wide shot was my favorite, but the softness from the sea spray gives this one some character too. I like the position of the light over the diagonal horizon.
Thanx for posting this one, Jane. In fact, I did not suggest that you zoom in more (yesterday's post was just perfect!)...I was curious as to how much your telephoto and converter could zoom in and how clear the picture would be. Looking in large at this one at 700mm, I don't think your buyer could go wrong! Actually, I don't know why you would sell...probably to go even better!
@ericdibosco guess I misunderstood. Interestingly I haven't heard back from him since I sent Him the pictures. I got gifted a nikkor 80;-400 with TC that works with autofocus so don't need both
