Well, the good news is that I've been having lots of opportunity to get out with my camera. The bad news is that the light has been pretty flat and I am WAY behind in all the other areas of my life. I will comment on your photos as I am able.

What a sharp, clear scene! So, after this course and his image review, wha I notice is a lot of sky and I ask myself, why is this space devoted to sky? He was good about saying it's all about our own choices, but we should ask ourselves questions about the purpose/goals of our decisions. So, here, I'm guessing you have a lot of space for sky to dwarf the lighthouse and activity of the sea and to have the width to capture the activity without changing your original proportions. Just sharing the type of conversations he modeled for us.
@taffy great question. I wanted the three boats and there is something about the top of the clouds that seems to echo the piling section. If the boring gray sky had been at the top, I would have cropped for sure
@jgpittenger Cool -- that's exactly how the interactions would have gone at the image review. He modeled how to ask ourselves good questions about our shots, rather than telling us that there was a certain right way to do it. He mainly emphasized that we should always ask the questions -- and have an answer. Never should it be, I dunno...just shot it that way...just processed it that way. We should always be thinking about why we choose what we choose. It's made me think more carefully about my shots all week (hope it stays with me!).
