Dredge At Sunset

Best on black. A friend shared a new spot with me and last eve the sky was full of smoke and it looked as if it might be a good sunset. It was but I also lucked out with the boat that has been dredging the river coming back in for another load just as the sun was going down.

Magic shot, the colours are amazing. Little piece of trivia for you. I read your narrative with interest, but couldn't quite work it out for a bit. Then I remembered that we use lucked in/out the opposite way round to you guys. Then it all made perfect sense.

Timing was perfect! The boat, the sun, the framing using the tree branch -- it all comes together so well. And interesting to read the difference in lucked out/in above. I had never even heard the expression 'lucked in.' We learn so many things on 365!
