Odd Bird Out

Best on black. We took Black Pearl out on an early morning hike this morning since it has been so smoky and hot and took my 300mm lens just in case. There isn't much water left in this area but the egrets and a single blue heron definitely felt as if it was the place to be. They were too far for my 300 mm lens but I was pretty tickled with how sharp the was given the distance.
